Emergency Notification
SafetyLine will detect if a staff is in a potential emergency situation if either a Panic is declared, or if a Staff has missed a Check-In (and reminders) report due, implying that there may be a distress situation.
Once an emergency is declared, SafetyLine will automatically start attempting to notify pre-defined Monitors by all means available: data app, SMS/text, email and even a real phone call. Notification will escalate through a cascade of monitors until at least one monitor has been confirmed contacted and agrees to acknowledge the emergency and take responsibility. This means that SafetyLine will be guaranteed to persistently notify monitors until contact has been made and the emergency response procedures are commenced.
SafetyLine is fully automated, so this process happens without unnecessary steps or time delays, and Monitors are contacted directly without having to go through a 3rd party call center staff. Once contacted, Monitors are provided with full history, audio messages, locations, and any other pertinent information (such as job site hazards, personal notes, personal contacts, etc..) for the staff in distress, so as to quickly be able to make an appropriate judgement call and resolve the situation. Monitors are also presented with a system for stepping through customization Emergency Response Procedures so as to be able to perform the proper steps, without needed to have them memorized. And for your peace of mind, all of these steps and events are fully logged and can be accessed in history and reports whenever needed.
Who is a Monitor?
Monitors are typically staff within your organization. This typically means group Managers or Supervisors, but my also be dedicated Safety Officers, call takers, desk clerks or even business owners, in a small-business scenario. However, if you still require it, Tsunami also has the ability to support manned call-centers integration, and can help with setting up systems for special cases such as after-hours scenarios.
Why use your own staff? SafetyLine doesn’t require them to be actively monitoring the system. In fact, the only time your Monitors will ever need to be involved is when an emergency occurs. Even then, SafetyLine is designed to be so simple that they will immediately be able to respond with easy understanding of the steps.
Your own staff know the real-world situations better than anyone else, and in a case of using a call-center are typically required to be primary contacts anyways prior to calling emergency services, so why not cut out the middle step and expedite the process?
