Emergency Panic Alarms for Lone Workers

Safetyline offers various panic alarms for lone workers

In-app panic button

  • Using their current cell phone or device, lone workers can discreetly push an accessible panic button in the SafetyLine app.

  • The in-app panic button is pressed when the employee:

    • Is assaulted

    • Is feeling intimidated

    • Experiences violence

    • Is concerned about their safety

How it works:

In times of distracting duress, people want a panic button that is quick and accessible. SafetyLine’s panic button can be accessed easily and does not require time to activate in high-stress situations – when seconds and minutes truly count.

  1. Press and hold the safety line panic button.

  2. Emergency contacts are immediately notified.

  3. Help is sent to the worker’s GPS location

Additional Panic Alarms in SafetyLine’s Motion Features Settings

Additionally, workers may choose to use various SafetyLine motion features as part of the Smartphone app to trigger a panic emergency. These can be activated/deactivated as necessary based on situations and hazards, and leverage the devices’ motion detection capabilities and SafetyLine algorithms to allow workers to trigger panic emergencies through motion-sensing technologies.

Shake-for-emergency feature

This feature, when enabled, allows workers to shake their phones vigorously to trigger a Panic Emergency. This can also be done when the device’s display is turned off or when the app is running in the background.

Man-down alarm

With ManDown detection enabled, worker’s smartphone devices will be able to detect a period of no motion (in cases where a worker may be rendered unconscious or incapacitated). After a set period, the device will trigger a Panic Emergency.

Impact detection

Accidents caused by slips or falls; or by vehicle impact may leave a worker unable to call for help. With fall detection enabled, a worker’s device may be able to detect a sudden impact, which will trigger a Panic Emergency.

No motion

If an employee is unconscious and injured, Safetyline will also detect the period of non-movement, and automatically alert all contacts

Who can benefit from an emergency panic button and alarms?

Quite simply, if there is potential for assault and violence from the public, employees, regardless of industry, must be equipped with an emergency panic alarm or panic button.

An emergency panic alarm can help protect people in several different industries who, at some point during their work, will be alone and encounter members of the public. These areas include security, retail, community healthcare, utility, and hotel and hospitality workers.
